Responsibilities

Diagnosis

Using advanced imaging techniques such as MRI, CT scans, and X-rays, a neurosurgeon assesses the underlying neurological conditions that require surgical intervention.

Surgical Treatment

Performing complex surgical procedures to treat conditions like brain tumors, aneurysms, spinal cord compression, and traumatic brain injuries.

Non-surgical Treatment

In some cases, treatment may include rehabilitation, medication, or other forms of therapy.

Collaboration

Working closely with neurologists, anaesthetists, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care.

Postoperative Care

Monitoring patients during recovery, managing complications, and ensuring proper rehabilitation.

Patient Management

Managing pre-operative and post-operative care for patients with neurological conditions.

Rotations

Working in different subspecialties within neurosurgery, such as pediatric neurosurgery, vascular neurosurgery, and neuro-oncology.

Emergency Care

I am handling acute neurological emergencies, such as traumatic brain injuries and haemorrhages.

Licensing

Securing the necessary licenses to practice independently as a neurosurgeon in the respective region or country.
