Information: SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2024: Government of India, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL 10+2) Examination 2024 scheduled to be held on June – July 2024. The SSC CHSL 10+2 Exam 2024 for recruitment positions of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators (DEO) and Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) in Different Ministries / Departments / Offices of the Government of India. The SSC CHSL 10+2 Exam 2024 Online registration scheduled to be start from 2nd April 2024 and close on 1st May 2024. • Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years.
• Age Relaxation – 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC and Plus 10 years for PwBD.

Selection Process

The examination will consist of a Computer based Written Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination for the post of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Lower Division Clerk.

Tier-I Computer Based Examination (Objective type): [Duration – 60 Minutes]

Tier-II Paper Descriptive Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode’. The duration of the paper would be for one hour (20 minutes compensatory time will also be provided to the candidates). This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which is necessary in Government jobs.

Tier-III Examination: Tier-III of the Examination would be the Skill Test/ Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature.  Skill Test/ Typing Test would be in consonance with the provisions. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II.

Skill Test for Data Entry Operator: (1) Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer. (2) For post of Data Entry Operator  in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG):- A speed Test of not less than 15000 key depressions per hour for data entry work to be ascertained through speed test on Computer.
